Mineral: Aragonite var. Igloit now discredited

Locality: Tsumeb Mine Tsumeb, Oshikoto Region Namibia

Description: This is a very fun specimen. A lovely apple green spray of included aragonite crystals from the Kay Robertson collection. According to Dana 6th, 281 (1892) Igloit was a variety of blue green aragonite. This has now since been discredited as a unique mineral species and the name is no longer used. It is unknown what inclusion is the cause of the color in this particular aragonite.
