Calcite, Pau, Pyrenees-Atlantiques, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France

$600.00

Size: 10.6x7.7x5.7cm

Species: Calcite

Locality: Pau, Pyrenees-Atlantiques, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France

Description: A beautiful complex calcite with stunning luster and transparency from France. These limpid calcites are from a relatively recent find. According to the field collector this area is only able to be collected during times of drought due to a river that rises above the elevation of the pockets during normal flows rendering them inaccessible. Many of these specimens display very complex morphologies and twinning. This is a nice large example with a single dominant crystal near the top of the specimen.
