Cerussite Twins on 2 Generation Smithsonite, Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Oshikoto Region, Namibia

$4,500.00

Size: 15.5x8.5x8cm

Mineral: Cerussite and Smithsonite

Locality: Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Oshikoto Region, Namibia

Description: This specimen is really quite fantastic. It has multiple “X” and “V” twin cerussite crystals situated on a wonderful matrix of sparkling white and apple green smithsonite. This is quite a hard to find combination and was in the former collections of Marshall Sussman, Chris Amo, and Fritz Dietz. Really a must have piece if you collect Tsumeb material and are looking for something unique. As a fun side note, on the back of the label there is a note stating that it was purchased in 2012 for $3250 which adjusted to inflation would come out to about $4250.
