Fluorapatite, Sapo mine, Ferruginha, Conselheiro Pena, Minas Gerais, Brazil

$2,000.00

Size: 9.9x6.5x3.1 cm

Species: Fluorapatite

Locality: Sapo mine, Ferruginha, Conselheiro Pena, Minas Gerais, Brazil

Description: These exceptional “chains” of epitaxial apatite crystals are hollow on the interior. What is unique about this specimen is that even though the two crystal “chains” are perpendicular to eachother, they are interconnected. This can be tested by blowing through one end of the crystal. Don’t worry I wiped it off after I tested it ;)
