Species: Fluorite and Chalcopyrite

Locality: Minerva No. 1 Mine, Cave-In-Rock, Hardin County, Illinois, USA

Description: This specimen has really quite fantastic colors. The inner core is yellow with a thin purple band that is coated by a larger blue band with a thin purple rind on the exterior. There is chalcopyrite bot trapped in the interior of the fluorite crystal and on the exterior of the crystal. The specimen looks great from a variety of angles. I picked the side that displayed the most color for the photograph.
