Size: 18.0x15.0x9.0 cm

Species: Fluorite, Calcite

Locality: Elmwood Mine, Carthage, Smith Co, Tennessee, USA

Description: Three large cubes up to 7.1 cm on edge sit perched on a matrix of sphalerite. The fluorite is perfectly accented by a small 1.6 cm doubly terminated jewel of a calcite that sits slightly offset from the center. The gemmy pale yellow corners glisten with a mirror like finish. They are offset slightly above the center of the fluorite which exhibits complex etching due to an effect often resulting in what miners and collectors call “carthage corners” This specimen exemplifies the qualities that have made Elmwood such a well known locality to collectors in America and worldwide. Comes with a custom cut acrylic base.
