Sold Out

Size: 5.5x4.7x3.3 cm

Species: Malachite Ps. Azurite with Cuprian Smithsonite

Locality: Tsumeb Mine, Oshikoto Region, Namibia

Description: I was thrilled to see this specimen which features malachite after azurite pseudomorphed crystals up to 3.5cm in length coated in what appears to be two generations of smithsonite. The first generation simply coated everything and has less color likely due to small crystal size. The second generation of light green smithsonite was deposited more thickly but unevenly on the specimen leading to a wonderful swirling green pattern. A very unique and interesting specimen.
