Malachite Pseudomorph after, Azurite, Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Oshikoto Region, Namibia

$4,000.00

Size: 9.2x8.0x3.5 cm

Species: Malachite Pseudomorph after Azurite

Locality: Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Oshikoto Region, Namibia

Description: This large malachite after azurite pseudomorph never fails to impress me when I look at it. A fanned single blade of considerable size has a second generation of smaller crystals that grew off at a 90 degree offset. The malachite displays the very desirable paisley patterning that shimmers with movement. The specimen was meticulously cared for and shows no damage. The back of the specimen shows some lighter green minerals which could be mottramite or duftite. Comes with a custom base.
