Morganite, Urucum claim, Barra do Cuiete, Minas Gerais, Brazil

$0.00
Sold Out

Size: 5.3x4.0x3.9 cm

Species: Morganite

Locality: Urucum claim, Barra do Cuiet, Minas Gerais, Brazil

Description: Two pink sharp euhedral morganite crystals separated by white cleavelandite make this specimen quite the eye catcher. A great specimen for any beryl collector. Looking at some of the faces you would almost swear it is twinned along the C axis. But beryl is not reported to twin since the plane it would twin on is already a symmetry element for beryl and would not produce a notably different structure.
