Description: A strongly pleochroic tanzanite with a beautiful termination. This particular specimen has almost certainly not been heated due to the observation of strong trichroism. Most of these bright purple specimens you see for sale when dug show a mild dull purple and are heated to a strong purple color before cutting. If you are looking for a nice natural specimen this would be a great choice.
